Keynotes that change how leaders think about project delivery in the AI era.
AI is changing how organisations plan, decide and deliver. Roelof Vermeulen gives executive audiences a practical view of what must change in leadership, governance, planning and the way people work with AI.
Every keynote is grounded in EPM-AI, Roelof’s published work and nearly three decades of delivery experience. The purpose is not to promote technology. It is to help leaders understand how their organisations must operate because AI exists.
In person or virtual. Tailored to your audience. Delivered personally by Roelof.
AI can move quickly. Most organisations cannot yet deliver at the same speed.
AI initiatives often begin with tools, platforms and use cases. Delivery problems appear later because ownership is unclear, decisions move slowly, data cannot be trusted, governance is either absent or restrictive, and the operating model still assumes that work is performed entirely by specialists. The assessment finds these conditions before they become expensive programme failures.
FLAGSHIP KEYNOTE 001
The Future of Project Delivery Solved
Most organisations are introducing AI into delivery systems designed for a world in which specialist knowledge sat almost entirely with people. That assumption no longer holds.
This keynote explains why AI requires a different approach to roles, leadership, planning, governance and execution. It introduces EPM-AI as a technology-agnostic framework for converting strategy into transparent delivery while giving people the autonomy to use AI within clear governance and risk constraints.
The audience will explore
- Why adding AI to an unchanged operating model produces limited value
- How AI allows people to operate across related roles
- Why the human contribution moves toward judgement, decisions, relationships and accountability
- How EPM-AI connects strategy, quarterly objectives, Sprint Targets and execution
- Why leadership must replace excessive management and control
- How transparency creates the trusted operational data required for AI-supported forecasting
Best suited to: executive conferences, leadership events, technology and transformation conferences, PMO events and organisational strategy sessions.
EXECUTIVE GOVERNANCE KEYNOTE 002
Governing at Velocity
Traditional governance often creates more reporting, more meetings and more layers of approval without giving executives a more truthful view of delivery.
Governing at Velocity presents a different model. Strategy provides direction. Named people carry accountability. Delivery remains visible. Leaders make decisions and remove obstacles. Governance enables responsible action instead of becoming a system of retrospective explanation.
The audience will explore
- Why information deteriorates as it moves through reporting hierarchies
- How control can weaken ownership, innovation and delivery speed
- The difference between leadership visibility and status reporting
- How named accountability improves decision quality
- Why trust and transparency must operate together
- How organisations can govern AI without preventing responsible adoption
Best suited to: boards, executive committees, governance and risk events, financial services audiences, portfolio leaders and transformation executives.
PLANNING AND FORECASTING KEYNOTE 003
Golf Estimation: Mastering the Executive Swing
Estimation cannot be reliable when the complete body of work has not been identified. Abstract values, group opinion and optimistic status information also create poor data for future AI-supported planning.
This keynote introduces Golf Estimation and shows how the Multi-Dimensional Diamond, Caddies Ten and time-based task planning create stronger forecasts, clearer accountability and more useful delivery data.
The audience will explore
- Why work discovery must happen before estimation
- How the Multi-Dimensional Diamond reveals every affected organisational environment
- How Caddies Ten defines the purpose, dependencies, expertise, quality and ownership of work
- The difference between Keyboard Time, Activity Time and Wait Time
- Why the people doing the work should plan their own tasks
- How accurate operational data improves budgeting, forecasting and future AI models
Best suited to: CFOs, PMO and portfolio leaders, project and programme executives, finance teams and delivery conferences.

Frequently asked questions
Can the keynote be customised?
Yes. The examples, level of detail and emphasis can be calibrated to the audience and event objective. Canonical EPM-AI concepts remain consistent.
Does the keynote promote a particular technology platform?
No. EPM-AI is technology agnostic. Technologies may be discussed as practical examples, but no platform is presented as a requirement.
Can a keynote be followed by a masterclass?
Yes. A keynote can establish the executive context before a smaller group applies the ideas during an EPM-AI, Golf Estimation or Role-Based AI Implementation Masterclass.
